Which calligraphy style is right for my wedding?

I’ve been practicing calligraphy for over 5 years and it’s such a beautiful art form. Slowly and smoothly combining letterforms across paper is so satisfying to both write and watch. There are many forms of calligraphy, but I specialize in the Spencerian & Copperplate styles. Each one is unique and servers a different purpose. Which one is the best for you is based on your personal style, wedding theme, and invitation style.

Spencerian Calligraphy

Spencerian calligraphy is beautiful and formal. It’s clean strokes and delicate flourishes are perfect for a more upscale wedding or traditional wedding invitation suite. It looks absolutely stunning in metallic gold ink on dark paper.

Copperplate calligraphy is bright and playful. It’s elaborate flourishes and contrasting strokes make it perfect for a more contemporary or fun wedding invitation suite. It looks beautiful in colorful inks or on vibrant envelopes.
