Custom Change-the-Date Cards for Postponed Weddings

Designing a Change-the-Date is bittersweet, because while I love being able to expand invitation designs beyond a standard suite, my heart breaks for all of the couples who made the selfless and compassionate decision to postpone their weddings due to COVID-19.

As the pandemic continues, more and more couples have been requesting Change-the-Dates in one form or another. There are so many different options at varying price levels that it can be overwhelming to manage on top of everything else. I wanted to write this blog to help explain a few of the most popular options and the costs you should expect for them!

Option 1 [$]
Digital (E-Mail or Text)
No Printing

The first option is the most affordable, because there’s no printing or paper involved. It’s a simple, digital e-card that you can e-mail or text to your friends and family to notify them of the date change.

Option 2 [$$]
Postcard
Letterpress or Digital Printing

The second option is one of the more popular options because it’s simple and casual, but still provides your guests with a tangible notice of the date change. It’s a double-sided postcard that you can just fill out, stamp, and place in the mail—no envelope needed!

Option 3 [$$$]
Card & Envelope
Letterpress or Digital Printing

The third option is the most traditional and formal. It’s a single-sided invitation-style card with envelope. The envelopes are printed with your return addresses, but can also be addressed with guest addresses at an additional cost.

While these are of course the most popular Change-the-Date options, there are so many ways to customize and accessorize them to make them uniquely you. Let us know how we can help you create the perfect Change-the-Date by sending us a message with your wedding details!
